Natasha’s Law checklist
Use this checklist before you put a PPDS product on sale: confirm it is PPDS, gather supplier specs, write the name and full ingredients list, emphasise every allergen occurrence, fix the label to the pack, and set a review when recipes or suppliers change.

Before you pack
- Decide: packed before selection by the same business from the same premises?
- Collect specifications for every compound ingredient (chocolate, sauce, mix, glaze)
- List sub-ingredients you will declare, including egg wash and garnishes
On the label
- Name of the food is clear and not misleading
- Ingredients in descending order of weight
- All 14 allergens emphasised wherever they appear
- Print is legible on the real pack size
- Label affixed so it leaves with the food
After you launch
- Trigger: new supplier → re-check label within one delivery
- Trigger: recipe tweak → update master list the same day
- Keep previous label versions dated for your records

Pin the checklist in the prep area. The free generator covers emphasis once your ingredients list is complete.
Questions
How often should I review labels?
Whenever ingredients change — and at least on a fixed schedule (for example monthly) for high-volume lines.
Do I need a consultant to sign off?
Not legally required for most small businesses. Accuracy is your responsibility; local authorities can advise on edge cases.
